Welcome to Lydon Funeral Chapel
Families will have the whole building when they come to Lydon Chapel for Funerals
because we service one family at a time.
The history at Lydon Chapel for Funerals dates back to the 18th century. The building at Lydon’s Chapel for Funerals was built for a young lady by her father. It was given to her with love as a wedding present. It later became a birthing house. Young ladies would come to Lydon Chapel for Funerals to give birth to the future of the great City of Quincy. Over 15 years ago I was honored to have met one of the ladies that was born at Lydon Chapel for Funerals, she was attending visiting hours for a friend. She proudly entered the Chapel stating “I was born here”. Following this, the Chapel housed many seniors for their last years of life when it was a nursing home. Lydon Chapel for Funerals has undergone extensive renovations to accommodate small intimate services to large services. With all the changes of this grand home, one thing has never changed, we are dedicated to the compassionate and care of others “One family at a time”.
Through the decades Lydon Chapel for Funerals has continued to serve not only the City of Quincy, but also the Greater Boston Area along with the North and South Shore Communities. Our motto is “One Family at a time”, and because of this our staff can add the special touches to the services of your loved one. We have found over the many decades of service that no two funerals are ever the same. Everyone is unique and we encourage families to design and plan a funeral as they wish to have it.
It is our years of service that our staff helps families through often tough decisions when a death has occurred. Please be assured that we are always available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to care for all your needs.
